Nylon Fabrication

Nylon is frequently used when.

High mechanical strength, rigidity, good stability under heat and-or chemical resistance are required.

Nylon 6 processes at a lower temperature 216F then Nylon 6/6 and has a lower mold shrinkage. Nylon 6/6 has a higher melting point 263F, therefore it is better suited for higher temperature applications.

Machine OK, you can get it with glass to make it stiffer.

It is a thermo plastic but it is very hard to glue, vacuum form and weld.

Some products that are made from nylon that you see every day. Including airbags, apparel, carpet fibers, radiator tanks, rocker covers, ball bearing cages, pipes, zip ties, conveyor belts and hoses.

Nylons are considered mechanical. Also mechanical come full thickness plus. So when you machine them you can machine them to exact size.
